Newsday’s Investi-gative Reporter, Andre Bagoo is in the USA, participating in the US Embassy’s International Visitor Leadership Programme which is administered by the Public Affairs Section of the US State Department. The programme focuses on the role of the investigative journalist in a democracy and the role of the media in developing standards of government’s accountability.
The three-week programme will take him to Washington, Las Vegas, Dallas and New York and includes visits to the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, CNN and USA Today.
