ACF 540: New York Asian Film Festival 2010 at 3 venues including Lincoln Center!

Info has begun trickling out about the New York Asian Film Festival 2010. As readers of AsianCineFest or Asian Cult Cinema magazine know, I've been covering this annual festival for several years. It is an incredible event and is certainly one of the premiere opportunities to check out great Asian films from a wide variety of countries, not just Hong Kong, China, Japan, and Korea. Even if you can't make it to New York, you owe it to yourself to at least read about the films that NYAFF will be screening, so be sure to use the links below.

The big news this year is that the main venue will be at the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater! FSLC presents the annual New York Film Festival and has periodically offered outstanding Asian film series, such as the two Heroic Grace series that focused on Hong Kong films and The Newest Tiger, which focused on recent films from South Korea.

Now the NYAFF is going to be there! Outstanding!

On a personal note, this'll make it even easier for me to cover screenings in person, as Lincoln Center is right on the subway line between my day job and my home. I'm looking forward to seeing even more films with a live audience, although I'm sure I'll be previewing some on DVD screeners as well.

Here's the basic schedule for NYAFF 2010:

JUNE 25 - JULY 8 at LINCOLN CENTER'S WALTER READE THEATER

JULY 1 - JULY 4 at JAPAN SOCIETY

MIDNIGHTS JUNE 25-26 & JULY 2-3 at IFC CENTER
